Seagrove 08

On our way home today I asked Lola what her favorite thing about the beach was and she said "digging holes." Lola liked digging holes in the sand and then she would lay in them and cover herself in sand. Kids have no qualms about getting sandy. They all liked the pool more than the beach. Kate was full of new tricks from her swimming lessons and Lola and Charlie could paddle around the pool for hours in their life jackets. We celebrated Mimi's birthday with a shrimp boil and cupcakes.

I'm tired of this show...where's the cake?

She didn't understand why we had to be quiet, and she kept asking where Mary was... because we kept saying they were getting "married." We told her before we went that we were going to a wedding and we would have cake. Bad idea. She asked about the cake through the entire ceremony and then once we got to the reception didn't understand that we had to wait on the bride and groom to cut it. She enjoyed dancing with Jack and did a great job handing out bubbles. She did get a little worried when everyone started blowing them inside, but didn't take long to join in the fun.
