Lola's Favorite things
I'm not sure exactly which one is her most favorite, but the only thing that will lure Lola back inside is the promise of puzzles or stickers. And the only thing that can lure her into the bathtub is if I promise to draw her a cow and a bee which she promptly erases. I'm getting quite good at upside down cow and bee drawings. I'll try and nab a picture tonight.

blimpy
Lola is randomly adding y's to the end of words. Milk is now milky, juice is juicy and blimp is blimpy. She also pluralizes words that are already plural. Dogs is dogses. It's fascinating to watch her vocabulary expand.
Nana and Poppo came to town last weekend. They fly in to a small airport near our house, and it just so happened that Outback was having a conference here this week and had their blimp parked at the airport. They let Poppo take Lola out to touch the blimp. Lola loves airplanes. She's quick to point them out in the sky whenever we're driving or playing in the back yard.
We went to a book signing at Davis Kidd. Susan Eaddy, a childhood friend of Nana's, just finished a kids book called Papa Fish's Lullaby. Each illustration is done with clay. It was neat to hear about her creative process. Lola sat on the front row during the reading and announced said that she wanted that book. "Lola have it."
We took Lola to the Farmer's Market on Saturday to see the animals. She got to pet a horse, see an owl, an eagle and a turtle. Nana bought me some beautiful hydrangea's for Mother's Day. We're spending lots of time "outside" with Lola these days, so we're trying our best to create a space we enjoy.
