A-mazing
Lola amazes me a little more every day. I can see her little mind working. Last week we were cleaning out my studio and she walked over to me with a stencil letter A and said "A". I was impressed, but just thought... it's the first letter in the alphabet, we say that one a lot. Then she picked up a little tile and said "Y"... sure enough, it was the Y. I was blown away. She can now identify the 8, Q & B in her bathtub letters, and recognizes her name LOLA. Tonight when I was getting her undressed for her bath I was taking off her pants and said "pants", she corrected me and said "jeans." I told her about jeans this morning as we were getting dressed. It's pretty cool and pretty scary... she's paying attention to everything even when we don't think it's soaking in.

These are the astonishing days, aren't they? I ache because we are so far apart and we can't share in Lola's and Rosa Jane's developments together in person. I'm thankful for each of you, though, and especially thankful that we have the blog to keep us connected! We love you!
