Lola's First Job

Lola is already earning her keep. Yesterday she modeled baby clothes for an organic clothing company. Our friend Mark Mosrie called when another baby didn't show up. Babies! Next time they'll know who to call first.

The house is quiet again. Only the sound of the upcoming Super Bowl drones in the background. Lola is asleep. Kate, Charlie, Nannie and Aunt Lolita are on the way back to Birmingham. It's always sad when guests leave. It's so fun to share our little bundle of joy and watch her interact. Lola's "firsts" are coming at a rapid pace these days. We went for her six month check-up this week. Weighing in at 19.4 pounds, she's in the 97th percentile for weight and the 45th for height. The Dr. Boger gave us the green light on baby food, so Lola had her first green beans Friday night. They were not a hit. She gagged and made horrible faces. Bananas weren't any more popular Saturday morning. Lola had her first bath in the big tub last night with cousin Kate. She loves splashing the water with her hands. Kate had fun washing Lola and the toys with banana scented soap! Maybe next time Charlie can join in the fun.
