Lola celebrated her first Thanksgiving in style at Nana and Popum's house in Hot Springs, AR. We drove to Memphis on Wednesday and stayed with our good friends Steve and Emily Besh, and then on to Hot Springs on Turkey Day. Lola was a great traveler. She even made a pit stop at Starbucks on the way. She's been busy helping us work puzzles, laughing, and playing in the Johnny jump up that Emily let us borrow. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Every time we go back to visit Mill Valley our friend Jen always says it just feels so normal for us to be there. That's the way it felt when Sally visited us this weekend. We didn't do anything exciting. In fact, we didn't even leave the house on Saturday. It was so nice to relax and catch up and feel no pressure to entertain. We ate ham sandwiches with champagne mustard and made german pancakes. We played with Lola and tried on all her cool new clothes that Sally brought. We talked to Francis and Matt on ichat. It was great watching Francis touch the screen and smile at her mom. Matt, thanks for sharing your wife with us for the weekend. Next time you and Francis have to come too.

Last weekend we bought Lola a Baby Einstein activity center. It says it's for 4 months and up, but Lola loves it. She's so advanced :) She's great at holding her head up and loves to sit and stand up. She's just starting to use her hands. She can flip the pages of the book. She's a real chatterbox. She talks to all the toys. I can't believe how fast she's growing up.
